A video game based on the film was announced at the 2011 New York Comic Con. The game will be developed by Beenox, the development team behind the previous two Spider-Man games, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and Spider-Man: Edge of Time. During New York Comic Con a producer at Activision, Doug Header stated that the game will take place after the events of the movie
